We have different skin types and colours, and goals, and some habits that are not skin-friendly – all of which impacts the way our skin behaves, reacts or ages. And with treatment and skincare  out there, understanding and the right plan can be a little bit of a .


If you have mild skin or you’d like to feel more confident in your skin but you’re unsure where to start, a free personalised skin consultation with a specialist or nurse at sk:n can help you gain a deeper of your skin, and which treatment and skincare programmes will get you to the best skin of your life.

What happens in the skin consultation


Our aim is to find out what you love and don’t love about your skin, if you have any particular skin concerns and what your skin goals are. We combine that information with a full skin and assessment, so we can create the right treatment and skincare plan for you.


During your consultation, we’ll remove makeup or from so we can fully examine your skin, including the texture, thickness and colour which could indicate concerns such as acne or . Your skin will also be examined under a skin scanner, which can indicate if your skin is healthy, dehydrated, oily, congested or has sun damage. We will take your before photos, so you can see your progress  your treatment plan.


We’ll then your daily and monthly skincare and treatment plan to get the best results for you and your skin. We may recommend a number of  including peels, microneedling or Hydrafacial, and to use at home.  on your goals or the of your skin concern, we will refer you to a doctor or specialist nurse. And if you are interested in injectables as a to the signs of ageing, we can also refer you to a doctor or nurse prescriber too.

Ideal for those with mild to skin concerns mild acne, skin, open pores, pigmentation, dull skin and mild signs of ageing, or for those who are simply just unsure where to start. Your skin will be fully examined for a number of skin concerns, your skin goals will be assessed, and your personalised  plan will be recommended. If you have more pronounced skin that a doctor or , we may refer you, and can also refer you to a nurse or doctor for .


To secure an appointment, we will require a . Your credit or debit card will be against your booking. For or Nurse consultations we take a fully refundable (subject to terms) of £25 and £50 for Doctor led . Please refer to our for more information.


Your skin consultation lasts around minutes. This will allow the practitioner to fully assess your skin and your skin goals, your concerns and create a recommended plan.


The consultation is completely free, but we do a £25 deposit to secure your . You won’t be if you attend your appointment, or you cancel or move your over 48 hours before your in line with our cancellation policy.​


The cost of your and/or skincare plan will be during your consultation, but can start from £59, on your clinic.


Your consultation will be with one of our experienced specialist nurses or practitioners with extensive of the skin. Should you have a more severe skin concern, they can also refer you into a doctor or  if you need to see one. Please note these consultations with a doctor or dermatologist are  and do require a refundable* – please check the consultation price before booking. We can also refer you to a doctor or nurse prescriber for an   if you are about the signs of ageing. We will ask you to come makeup free, but feel free to bring some with you to put on after the consultation if you wish.


Our expert skin practitioners will ask a variety of which are designed to help them create the best plan of action to tackle your skin . For example:


You can wear makeup to your appointment, however, we that you come makeup free so that we can spend the maximum amount of time assessing your skin. We cannot fully examine your skin with makeup on as we need to assess the texture, thickness and colour which could indicate such as acne or .

If you have a more severe concern, such as cystic acne, we will refer you to a doctor. If you are interested in anti-ageing to boost your confidence, we can also refer you to a doctor or nurse prescriber.
